LFD STATE OF THE (RE)UNION ADDRESS

So, Jesus. Are we doing this? I guess we're doing this.
We jammed last night and it's definitely full steam ahead.

WHY: It's kind of a fluke. Our friend Dom simply asked on a long shot, for his birthday, and there was no good reason not to kick this beast over for one last round. We all still dig and play variations on the same music we always did, and all our personal ups and downs are water under the bridge at this point, so why not? We only once played more than 2 hours outside of Hamilton, and never in the US. And there are a lot of younger kids apparently still growing up on it, to whom even the 2004 reunion was before their time. So for them, for the memory of our fallen brothers, and to see some old faces (including each other's) and play with some of the bands that we were feeding off of the first time around...is why. A lot of hardcore band reunions are going around lately and face it - most of them are crass, money-driven and only cheapen and commodify the rashness of youth. This one is for nostalgia, and affirmation of the old words, not for casting pale shadows. Also we're in the middle of writing bunch of new songs, because you're fucking fakin' it if you couldn't still be makin' it.

WHO: We had 3 different overlapping lineups in less than two years back then, but this will be all originals, the majority of the lineup from the recordings, minus one. We lost our friend and original bassist Phil in 2005, so we have one substitution, a solid friend and Europe's most thorough Steel City Hardcore scholar, who'll be playing bass.

This is sold out, but we added a matinee at CCAS Sunday.
Small space / no tickets / door only.

There'll be a limited silkscreened print of this...

...19X25", silver on black, ltd to 100.

Thanks to everyone that's been asking but while there may be a few surprises in the course of all this, we're not booking anything more than we already have planned. But keep your ear to the ground.
